Long one
Ran a longer route today–4.57 miles, according to the Google Pedometer. Needless to say, Frodo didn’t go along. It felt pretty good for most of the run, but I started getting gnarly high-chest/neck cramps during the last 1/2 mile or so, and I walked for about a block. Still, even with the walking, I ended up with 9 minute miles. I know that’s sucky for most runners, but not for me–not for the first time running this long. I’m perfectly happy with it.
I’m still trying to run every single day. That way when I skip, and I do, I’ll still be running more than when I ran M-W-F and ended up skipping a day or two. I know I’m tricking myself, but it works for me.
